Karim Benzema openly admit that the French are frustrated by their failure to beat Ecuador in the final match of Group E.
Les Bleus could only draw 0-0 against the South American representative. Nevertheless, they should be proud because it has successfully secured their progress to the last 16 as group winners.
"We would be happy if we can win. Yet there is a match where everything goes more complicated. Important, but we did not lose and advance to the next round," said Benzema TF1 reported.
"We are proud to enter into the last 16. We face a formidable goalkeeper (Dominguez-red), which makes some of the rescue. I hope in the next game it will not happen, but this proves that the World Cup offers no easy opponent," he concluded.
